what can i use as a double boiler?
i used a glass bowl and a sauce pan as a double boiler and halfway through the process, the bowl cracked. what’s a good bowl to use instead of glass? would plastic (like tupperware) or ceramic work? or is glass ok and i’m just doing it wrong?
You can use 2 pots, with one inside the other. This would be easier to do than using a pot and a bowl as the 2cd pot would have a handle. Try to keep the upper pot out of the water in the first pot. The upper pot is supposed to be warmed by the steam from the bottom pot.
