I would like the essay to flow better and have better vocabulary

“You are always traveling somewhere!” Friends would tell me every time I was on my way to somewhere new in the world. I would not think of it at the time, but I realize now that I have been privileged with experiencing many different cultures. Some of the places I have been fortunate to visit over the years are Germany, The Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Ireland, and Scotland. Through my familiarity with travel, I have experience with diverse groups of people. As a nation, our country’s population is growing contributing to a new level of diversity. Experiencing the diverse cultures opened my mind to many different kinds of art, food, beliefs, manners, and, of course, people. Through sharing my experiences, I have learned that I can open peoples’ minds that normally are not as accepting of diverse cultures.

In a couple of places I have used the ‘Rule of Three’. When you want to increase the force, limit your list to three items. You may, of course, not choose the three I have.

When I have read “As a nation …”, my mind expects the next word to be the name of a nation. I am thrown when I read “our country’s population ..”.

My own knowledge and observations have helped open the minds of these people even further. The differences I have encountered on my worldwide trips are broadening our perspective as a nation, and leading to increased cultural harmony within our ever-growing population.
